Dalgoda: The Hero of the Tale, page 6
I just noticed something about panel two. The director has a lens around his neck -- something that Jan Strnad asked for in his script -- but he also has a long, skinny object hanging next to the lens... something I threw in spontaneously, then forgot about. It made me laugh more than two decades after I drew it. Anyone care to guess what it's supposed to be?

ReplyDeleteI love this art style so much. I think it defines you just as much as the style editors ask you to use when you "Nowlanize" pencilers.
ReplyDeleteAlso, this story appeared in A1 (#4?), which s possibly one of the most impossible comics to find. Therefore, I've never read this story in its entirety! Thanks for posting.
I love the dog in the third panel that is emptying the trash. He has that look on his face like "I'm just doing my job man!" and this guy is yelling at me.

ReplyDeleteI agree with Michael Fiffe. I love this pared to minimum style. I love the effect of, for example, Nowlan over Bogdanove, but would much rather see this than "Nowlan fixing pencils".
